Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). They walked away with a 6-1 win over the George Washington Eagles on Wednesday. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Heritage's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-16. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for George Washington, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-0 loss against Rustburg on the 9th. As for George Washington, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Magna Vista on the 13th.
