Basketball Recap: Provo's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Provo entered their tilt with Wasatch on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Wasatch Wasps by a score of 70-63. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 77-71 win the Wasps walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

Provo's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makai Allen, who went 8 of 10 en route to 24 points and five assists. The matchup was Allen's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Griffin DeMartini, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Provo's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Wasatch, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Provo will be playing in front of their home fans against Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Provo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Grantsville likes a good challenge. As for Wasatch, they will venture away from home to square off against Cyprus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cyprus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70.3 points per game this season.
