Baseball Game Preview: Erie-Mason Eagles vs. Melvindale Cardinals

The Erie-Mason Eagles will head out to square off against the Melvindale Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Erie-Mason has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Erie-Mason after they put the first run on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Whitmore Lake, falling 24-8. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 4-0 in the first period.

Meanwhile, Melvindale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-4 to Roosevelt.

Melvindale's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Erie-Mason, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15-1.
