Volleyball Recap: Santa Maria Takes a Loss

Santa Maria lost against Cabrillo back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Saints fell 3-1 to the Conquistadores. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-27, 25-21.

Cabrillo can attribute much of their success to Mahiro De LA Cruz, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave De LA Cruz a new career-high.

Santa Maria's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Cabrillo, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Santa Maria is set to challenge their familiar foe Mission College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cabrillo will face off against rival Pioneer Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
