Softball Recap: Hackleburg Makes It 17 in a Row at Home

Hackleburg waltzed into their matchup on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Dyer County Choctaws.

Payten Herron was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run. Braylynn Pope was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Hackleburg hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive contests.

Hackleburg pushed their record up to 27-7 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.
