Soccer Recap: Fairfield Central Takes a Loss

Fairfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the Newberry Bulldogs, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Fairfield Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Newberry are ranked 47th).

Fairfield Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Newberry, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

As of now, neither Fairfield Central nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
