Volleyball Recap: Calhoun County Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Calhoun County duked it out with Sumter County on Thursday. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14.

Calhoun County's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Sumter County, they pushed their record up to 6-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calhoun County will head out to face off against Brooks County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sumter County, they will square off against Carver at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
