Basketball Recap: King & Queen Central Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ayden Gibson and Gerard Hill

King & Queen Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 80-60 to the Mathews Blue Devils. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Royal Tigers have suffered against the Blue Devils since February 4, 2020.

King & Queen Central's loss came despite strong showings from Gerard Hill and Ayden Gibson. Hill posted 26 points, while Gibson scored 26 points.

King & Queen Central's record now sits at 5-5. As for Mathews, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

King & Queen Central has already played their next game, a 54-49 defeat against West Point on the 16th. As for Mathews, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-55 victory against Charles City on the 16th.
