Baseball Recap: Tornillo Takes a Loss

Tornillo lost against Fabens last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tornillo Coyotes came up short against the Fabens Wildcats, falling 16-7.

Jeter Luna was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josue Chuca, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Tornillo's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Fabens, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Tornillo will take on San Elizario in a tournament on Thursday. As for Fabens, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
