Soccer Recap: Albemarle Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Albemarle proved they can win big on Monday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Western Albemarle Warriors, sneaking past 1-0. Matthew Mayo had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Albemarle.

Albemarle pushed their record up to 11-5-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five games. As for Western Albemarle, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3-2.

As of now, neither Albemarle nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
