Basketball Recap: First Coast Buccaneers vs. Bishop Snyder Cardinals
First Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 63-22 defeat at the hands of the Bishop Snyder Cardinals. The Buccaneers were down 57-17 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, First Coast saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aray Bell almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kallie Dembowski, who posted seven points.
Shelby Gaines was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds for Bishop Snyder. The matchup was Gaines' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Saige Grace, who put up ten points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.
First Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Bishop Snyder, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.
First Coast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-32 victory against KIPP Bold City on the 9th. As for Bishop Snyder, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-17 win against Harvest Community on the 9th.
