Softball Recap: McHenry Takes a Loss

McHenry managed to slip by Prairie Ridge the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Wolves on Thursday, falling 13-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lyla Oeffling was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Danica McCarthy, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

McHenry's loss dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Prairie Ridge, they pushed their record up to 23-1-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, McHenry will welcome Marengo at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Prairie Ridge, they will head out to take on Harvard at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
