Volleyball Recap: King Wolves vs. Woodcrest Christian Royals
King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodcrest Christian Royals.
The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Woodcrest Christian scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 19-25, 25-20.
Mahin Hoque paced King's offense, picking up seven kills. Hoque got some help from Giovanny Madott and his 15 assists. Finally, Dylan Fengler kept King's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
King's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Woodcrest Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King will face off against Rancho Verde at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodcrest Christian, they will challenge Desert Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
