Baseball Game Preview: Muhlenberg Muhls vs. Emmaus Hornets

The Muhlenberg Muhls will head out on the road to face off against the Emmaus Hornets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Muhlenberg proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Penn Manor a 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Emmaus, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over William Allen on Friday. The Hornets have beaten the Canaries the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Canaries has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Tanner Karwacki, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Drew McGeehan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The victory got Emmaus back to even at 8-8. As for Muhlenberg, their record now sits at 8-6.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster.
