Softball Recap: Glen Ridge Comes Up Short

Glen Ridge was the 12-3 winner over Verona when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Ridgers took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillbillies on Wednesday. The Ridgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Glen Ridge saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Siri ?Socks? Krabbe, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Krabbe has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another was Anne ?Peanut? Doud, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Glen Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Verona, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glen Ridge will head out to challenge Montclair at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Verona, they will face off against Cedar Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
