Baseball Recap: Mt. Shasta Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Mt. Shasta's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maxwell Panthers on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bears' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Mt. Shasta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sabyn Solus, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Mt. Shasta has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Maxwell, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Mt. Shasta wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 13-2 victory against Fall River on the 11th. As for Maxwell, they have also already played their next contest, a 19-0 win against Williams on the 11th.
