When it comes to explaining why Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary lost, one person who can't be blamed is Donovan Desha. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 36 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Desha has scored all season. Diego Boardman was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Cabrillo is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Genevieve at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. St. Genevieve has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 16.
