After a string of six wins, Hickman's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 37-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chaminade Red Devils. The Kewpies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Hickman's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Chaminade, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Hickman will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Helias at 7:00 p.m. on November 7. The Crusaders' defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so the Kewpies' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Chaminade, they will face off against Riverview Gardens at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
