Basketball Game Preview: East Hall Vikings vs. Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears

The East Hall Vikings will face off against the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. East Hall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully Holy Innocents Episcopal likes a good challenge.

East Hall will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Cherokee Bluff, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. East Hall walked away with an 80-73 win over Cherokee Bluff on Friday.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Holy Innocents Episcopal against Carver on Friday as the team secured an 89-43 victory. The Golden Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

East Hall better keep an eye on Caleb Wilson. He was instrumental in Holy Innocents Episcopal's win, going 12 for 18 en route to 29 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Wilson's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Devin Hutcherson, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.

Holy Innocents Episcopal smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive contests.

Holy Innocents Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for East Hall, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.
