Softball Recap: Mount St. Dominic Academy Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Mount St. Dominic Academy came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Caldwell Chiefs. Considering the Lions have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Mount St. Dominic Academy pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Caldwell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount St. Dominic Academy will welcome Paramus Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Caldwell, they will host Livingston at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
