Volleyball Recap: Bellaire Comes Up Short

Bellaire lost against Buckeye Local back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Big Reds fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. While the Big Reds didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-20 in the first set.

Bellaire started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Addison Kovach paced Bellaire's offense, picking up three kills. Kovach got some help from Ava Ault and her nine assists. Aubrey Bresiger controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Bellaire has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Buckeye Local, their record now sits at 7-15.

Looking ahead, Bellaire will head out on the road to face off against Buckeye Trail at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Buckeye Local, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against West Muskingum on the 13th.
