Volleyball Game Preview: LaFayette Ramblers vs. Gilmer Bobcats + Official Tickets

LaFayette has gone a perfect 10-0 against Gilmer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Ramblers will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in LaFayette's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Gilmer has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.

LaFayette is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since October 10, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Calhoun, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-16.

LaFayette's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Caydence Tinklepaugh, who had ten digs, and Serenity Hancock, who had ten kills. Hancock is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, Gilmer lost 3-0 to Northwest Whitfield last Monday.

Gilmer may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Gilmer's defeat dropped their record down to 14-23. As for LaFayette, their loss dropped their record down to 34-10.

LaFayette beat Gilmer 2-0 when the teams last played back in September. Will the Ramblers repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
