New London proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by five) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Wheeler Lions. New London's winning goal came courtesy of Brian Escalante.

New London is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 10-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matches. As for Wheeler, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, New London will square off against St. Bernard at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheeler, they will face off against Westbrook at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Wheeler are facing Westbrook at the right time seeing as Westbrook are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
