Basketball Recap: Enterprise Comes Up Short

Enterprise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 72-28 loss at the hands of the Gautier Gators.

Gautier's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fredrick Davis, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 17 points in addition to six boards and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Smith, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Enterprise's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Gautier, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.

Enterprise has already played their next matchup, a 68-27 loss against South Pike on the 1st. As for Gautier, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-45 defeat against Harrison Central on the 29th.
