Volleyball Recap: Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers vs. Walker Wildcats

Woodlawn-B.R. was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Walker Wildcats. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13.

Walker was led to victory by Lily Vetter and Jaiden Jordan. Vetter had ten digs and two aces, while Jordan had four digs. Vetter is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

Woodlawn-B.R.'s defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Walker, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-9.

Woodlawn-B.R.'s road trip will continue as they head out to face Liberty Magnet at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Liberty Magnet will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Woodlawn-B.R. surely won't give up without a fight. As for Walker, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Sam Houston on the 18th.
