Little Elm scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 93-85 to the Lewisville Farmers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lobos came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Farmers are ranked 444th).

Little Elm lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kensington Candler, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Darius Johnson, who posted 19 points along with seven assists and three steals.

Even though they lost, Little Elm was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Little Elm's defeat dropped their record down to 23-9. As for Lewisville, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-11 and their overall record up to 8-20.

Little Elm has already played their next contest, a 54-44 loss against Braswell on the 7th. As for Lewisville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 75-60 defeat against Marcus on the 7th.
