Soccer Game Preview: Pilibos vs. Holy Martyrs Armenian

The Pilibos Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Holy Martyrs Armenian Armens at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Pilibos' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Pilibos fell victim to Milken and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, Holy Martyrs Armenian hasn't lost a match since December 13, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Armens were the better team in the second half.

George Dekirmanjian and Stephan Pashaian scored both of Holy Martyrs Armenian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Holy Martyrs Armenian now has a winning record of 4-3-4. As for Pilibos, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Pilibos came up short against Holy Martyrs Armenian in their previous matchup back in January, falling 3-1. Can Pilibos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
