Soccer Recap: Connally Comes Up Short

Connally lost against Lorena back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Connally Cadets came up short against the Lorena Leopards, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 698th, while the Leopards are ranked 258th).

Connally has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. The win (which was Lorena's tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Connally will face off against Mexia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Connally is facing Mexia at the right time seeing as Mexia is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Lorena, they will take on Meyer at 5:00 p.m. on March 4th.
