Football Recap: Central Falls to Dougherty in First Game of Season

Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Dougherty Trojans on Thursday, falling 51-14. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Although Central took the loss, they still got scores from Dontavius Wright and WyQuayvis Gaither.

Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 defeat against Academy for Classical Education on the 21st. As for Dougherty, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-6 loss against Toombs County on the 22nd.
