Basketball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kentwood on Tuesday, Independence came back down to earth. The Tigers had to suffer through a 52-7 loss at the hands of the Pine Raiders. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Independence moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Pine, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 38-34 victory against Mt. Hermon on the 8th. As for Pine, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-50 defeat against Covington on the 8th.
