The home team had won the previous four meetings between Viroqua and Richland Center, and Viroqua kept the tradition alive. The Blackhawks came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 45-37 on Tuesday. The Blackhawks' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Viroqua found their leader in freshman Noah Schwarz, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Skrede, who posted eight points and five boards.

Viroqua's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Viroqua will square off against De Soto at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richland Center, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Coulee Region Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
