Baseball Recap: Uniontown Takes a Loss

Uniontown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brownsville Falcons. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Luke Gresh was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. Shane Kelly also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Uniontown's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Brownsville, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Uniontown will challenge Elizabeth Forward at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Brownsville, they will face off against Albert Gallatin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
