Baseball Recap: Head-Royce Extends Winning Streak to Four

Head-Royce entered their tilt with Oakland Tech on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 9-7. The game was the first time the Jayhawks have beaten the Bulldogs on their field since March 21, 2015.

Davis Lynch was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Kaden Choi was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Head-Royce's record now sits at 7-2. As for Oakland Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Head-Royce will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Oakland Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakland at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
