Football Recap: Walsenburg Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Walsenburg duked it out with Custer County on Friday. The Panthers took a blow against the Bobcats, falling 42-12. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Although Walsenburg took the loss, they still got scores from Mariano Bobian and Adrian Vallejos.

Walsenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Custer County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walsenburg will host Crowley County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Custer County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fowler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
