Baseball Recap: Johnson Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dayton on Tuesday, Johnson came back down to earth. The Crusaders fell just short of the Oratory Prep Rams by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on April 8th.

Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Oratory Prep, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Johnson is set to take on their familiar foe Union at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Oratory Prep will challenge rival Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 4, the Minutemen 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
