Football Recap: Pierce Drops Highest Score of Season Against Wayne + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pierce). They were the clear victors by a 48-26 margin over the Wayne Blue Devils on Friday. With the Bluejays ahead 48-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Jackson Fischer was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 120 yards and two TDs on only ten carries. Those 120 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Fischer was just one part of a punishing run game: Pierce was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 443 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Pierce's record is now 5-2. As for Wayne, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Pierce will take on Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bluejays will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Wayne, they will challenge Schuyler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
