Softball Game Recap: Framingham Flyers vs. Brookline Warriors

Framingham's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Brookline Warriors a 5-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Flyers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Savanna Barrett was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Rosen, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Framingham's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-14. As for Brookline, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Framingham will challenge Westford Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brookline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
