Football Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Roosevelt's Winning Streak + How To Watch

Roosevelt and North squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Roosevelt had to settle for second. They fell 40-32 to the Stars. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Rough Riders, who until this contest were averaging 12.75 points allowed.

Several Rough Riders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Fermin Solorzano, who picked up 167 receiving yards and one score. The team also got some help courtesy of Ehis Idoni, who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of TDs.

Bradley Dockery was his usual excellent self, rushing for 213 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries for North. That's the most rushing touchdowns Dockery has posted since back in November of 2024.

The defeat snapped Roosevelt's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-2 record. As for North, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North, they will venture away from home to challenge Templeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Stars' defense better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 41 points per game this season.
