It was a good run, but  Enterprise unfortunately witnessed the end of their  five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lawrence County Cougars by a score of  7-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  5-4  two weeks ago.
  Piper Martin was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run.  Terra Vining was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
Enterprise's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Lawrence County, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record  this season.
 Enterprise and Lawrence County's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Enterprise and Pearl (who has only given up two  runs per game) will meet  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Enterprise will stroll in with a four game home winning streak, but they should still watch out: the last time they lost at home was their   the 13th matchup with Lawrence County. Meanwhile, Lawrence County will  challenge  Hancock  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday, a  team that's only allowed four  runs per game. Enterprise's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6  runs per game  this season, so Lawrence County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
