Football Recap: Burley Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Burley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 29-7 to the Century Diamondbacks on Friday. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Diamondbacks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Tito Villano was nothing short of spectacular for Century: he rushed for 100 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. That's the most rushing yards Villano has posted since back in September of 2024.

Century has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Burley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 42-20 loss against Emmett on the 5th. As for Century, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 34-6 victory against Canyon Ridge on the 5th.
