Softball Recap: Clearfield Comes Up Short

Clearfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to the Bellefonte Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 back in March.

Clearfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Megan Wisor, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Clearfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Bellefonte, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clearfield will venture away from home to challenge Greater Johnstown at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bison are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Bellefonte, they will head out to square off against State College at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
