Pewitt dropped down to 7-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Honey Grove Warriors, falling 28-8. Having soared to a lofty 45 points in the game before, the Brahmas couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Honey Grove, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.8 points over those games.

Honey Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryelan Morris, who rushed for 159 yards and one score on only 12 carries. Morris' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 107 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Jarrmez Daniels, who rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

Coming up, Pewitt will face off against Beckville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Honey Grove, they will take on Union Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
