Clay-Battelle hadn't done well against Trinity Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Cee-Bees came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Cee-Bees: when they faced off against the Warriors on October 2nd, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24, 22-25, 25-23.

Clay-Battelle found their leader in sophomore Sophia Sandone, who had nine digs and two aces.

Clay-Battelle was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 9-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Trinity Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Lainey Jackson and Addy Wingrove. Jackson had 25 digs and three aces, while Wingrove had eight kills. Jackson has been hot for a while, having posted two or more aces the last 12 times she's played.

Clay-Battelle's win ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 19-16. As for Trinity Christian, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-12.

Clay-Battelle has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Madonna on the 22nd. Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
