Basketball Recap: Sipsey Valley Comes Up Short

Sipsey Valley suffered their closest defeat since February 2, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Northside Rams by a score of 34-32. The Bears' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Northside found their leader in freshman Kamryn Knowles, who posted 17 points. Claire Jones was another key player, putting up seven points.

Sipsey Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Northside, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 17-5.

Sipsey Valley is taking a road trip to take on Hale County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northside, they will host John Carroll Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
