Soccer Game Preview: Baylor vs. McCallie

The Baylor Red Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the McCallie Blue Tornado at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

McCallie will be up against a hot Baylor team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Red Raiders came out on top against The Webb School by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. Four seems to be a good number for Baylor as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Meanwhile, McCallie entered their tilt with Fort Payne on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for McCallie, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

McCallie's victory bumped their record up to 8-1-3. As for Baylor, their win bumped their record up to 7-4-2.

Baylor might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from McCallie when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Red Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
