Volleyball Recap: Hopkins Victorious

It was close, but on Tuesday the Hopkins Royals sidestepped the Coon Rapids Cardinals for a 3-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Royals.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-102) Hopkins actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 15-25, 15-13.

Hopkins' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Coon Rapids, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Hopkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coon Rapids, they will square off against Robbinsdale Armstrong at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
