Alamo Heights skates past Jefferson with ease

The Alamo Heights Mules scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 77-14 victory over Jefferson. Alamo Heights has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 25 points or more this season.

Leading Alamo Heights to victory were Sophia Zadel and Talaiyah Andrews. Zadel scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks, while Andrews dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Andrews has scored all season. Faye Peterson was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Alamo Heights has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Jefferson, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-25.

Alamo Heights will be playing in front of their home fans against Lanier at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Lanier will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1169th, while Alamo Heights is ranked 247th). As for Jefferson, they will head out on the road to take on Highlands at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Highlands is on a three-game streak of home losses, Jefferson an 11-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
