Recap: Anadarko Warriors vs. Kingfisher Yellowjackets
The Anadarko Warriors lost against the Kingfisher Yellowjackets back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Anadarko took a hard 31-13 fall against Kingfisher. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Anadarko in their matchups with Kingfisher: they've now lost three in a row.
Kingfisher can attribute much of their success to Dallen Barton, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Barton was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.
Anadarko's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.3 points per game. As for Kingfisher, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Anadarko does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kingfisher will head out on the road to face off against Sulphur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sulphur presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kingfisher in Oklahoma (Sulphur is ranked 25th, while Kingfisher is ranked 119th).
