It was a good run, but Whitesboro unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Whitewright Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Bearcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Whitesboro wouldn't go down easily and took Whitewright into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 20-25, 23-25, 15-13.

Whitesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Whitewright, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Coincidentally, Whitesboro and Whitewright will both be playing Krum the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Bobcats at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, while the Bearcats will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
