Basketball Recap: Prentiss Christian Comes Up Short

Prentiss Christian played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Hattiesburg HomeSchool Forerunners, falling 60-35.

Hattiesburg HomeSchool found their leader in sophomore Tefari Edwards, who went 9-for-19 en route to 23 points. The contest was Edwards' fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Seth Hollingsworth, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 11 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Prentiss Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hattiesburg HomeSchool, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Prentiss Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ben's Ford Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 4. As for Hattiesburg HomeSchool, they will take on Bowling Green in a tournament on Tuesday.
